The City of Edgewater has developed its draft Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan and we are seeking your feedback. The Plan guides the City in making Edgewater's facilities accessible to all. This includes all public programs, services, facilities, and activities for community members with disabilities. If you need a paper copy or need it in a different format please email: klammers@edgewaterco.com or call 720-763-3008.

The City of Edgewater is committed to eliminating barriers to access for people with disabilities. Accessible programs, City facilities, roads and sidewalks are essential to a high quality of life for our residents. While the City has already made progress to improve accessibility, there is more to do.

The City is working with Mile High Accessibility to undertake a "Self-Evaluation" to identify problems and create an ADA Transition Plan for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Transition plan addresses city infrastructure such as streets and sidewalks, the Civic Center and programs and policies. The Transition Plan is significant in that it establishes the City's ongoing commitment to the development and maintenance of policies, programs, and facilities in Edgewater.
