Sheridan Boulevard Plan Creation and Timeline

Identified as a high injury crash network/corridor of concern and awarded a Community Mobility Planning and Implementation (CMPI) grant, the Sheridan Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Plan was developed by the City of Edgewater in partnership with the City and County of Denver, Regional Transportation District (RTD), and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Creation of the plan included extensive community and business engagement, and additional stakeholders involved included the City of Lakewood, Arts 40 District, Bicycle Colorado, West Metro Chamber, Edgewater Police Department, and the Edgewater Collective.

The Plan was created during 2021 and 2022, addresses Sheridan Boulevard, between West 17^th and West 26^th avenues, and was adopted by the Edgewater City Council in October, 2022. Implementation of the plan is in process as a Colorado Department of Transportation project. Currently, it is in the design phase (2023-2024) and construction is anticipated after that (2026-2028 timeframe).
