From Dan Maples, City Manager:
It is my pleasure to present the 2024 Annual Report for the City of Edgewater. This report highlights major accomplishments and major initiatives over the past calendar year of 2024. Unfortunately we do not have enough space to highlight everything, so we will highlight the items that most align with our Strategic Plan Priorities. I am incredibly proud at the hard work the City of Edgewater team accomplishes each year. We are very lucky to have such a dedicated team providing exceptional service to the Edgewater community. City staff have taken another large step towards matching the work performed with the priorities of the City. For 2025 you will see this within the budget as staff have worked to allocate costs directly to priorities set by City Council. Most of this work was completed in 2024 as it is a lengthy process.
As we move into the next budget cycle, we will continue to implement City Council’s top priorities, and balance current revenues and expenses while maintaining acceptable reserve levels. The City of Edgewater is committed to the seven established priorities Diversity, Equity, Equality and Inclusion; Community Safety and Wellbeing; Sustainability and Resilience; Business Community and Economics; Housing; Community Experience; and Plan Alignment. We truly strive to provide exceptional service in everything we do.
Thank you for taking the time to look through our Annual Report. As always please let us know if there is something we can improve upon.
